Time Inc. Names Greg Giangrande Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

(NEW YORK) – Time Inc. announced today the appointment of Greg Giangrande as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, effective April 30. In this role, Mr. Giangrande will lead all aspects of Human Resources for the Company, including talent recruitment and development, compensation and benefits. He will report to Time Inc. CEO Laura Lang.

“Greg is one of the most highly-regarded executives in his field – he brings with him deep knowledge of the media business and considerable experience in recruiting, developing and engaging employees in our industry,” said Ms. Lang. “Promoting a culture of collaboration and an environment that drives performance and creativity is a top priority for Time Inc. and Greg is well-suited to lead us in accomplishing that goal.”

Mr. Giangrande will work closely with Time Inc.’s senior management on developing the Company’s culture and leadership capabilities to enable the successful execution of growth strategies for the business. In addition, he will work with management to boost innovation across the Company and collaborate with Time Inc.’s brands to maintain a deep bench of skilled and diverse talent.

Mr. Giangrande most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer of Dow Jones & Company/The Wall Street Journal, where he was responsible for talent development, employee engagement, labor relations, compensation, benefits, human resources systems and all aspects of the company’s human resources efforts worldwide. Prior to joining Dow Jones in 2008, Mr. Giangrande held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at HarperCollins publishing group for nine years. He has held leadership positions in human resources at Hearst, Conde Nast and Random House. Mr. Giangrande received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in journalism and communications from New York University.
