Travel + Leisure Announces Winners of The 2013 Global Vision Awards

Awards Highlight Hotels, Tour Operators, and Cruise Lines That Are Transforming the World Through Travel

New York – October 8, 2013 –Fogo Island Inn, Newfoundland, Canada; Overseas Adventure Travel; Cavallo Point Lodge, Sausalito, California; and AboutAsia Travel, Siem Reap, Cambodia, are among the winners of the Travel + Leisure 2013 Global Vision Awards. Selected by a panel of distinguished jurors including Bonnie Burnham of the World Monuments Fund and Rob Katz, CEO of Vail Resorts, the 15 honorees embody the extraordinary ways that travelers can give back to the places we visit. The winners are recognized in five categories: Culture, Conservation, Community, Leadership, and Sustainability. Travel + Leisure editors awarded a special Visionary Award to Jochen Zeitz, founder of Segera Retreat, Laikipia, Kenya.
