CookingLight.com Experiences Biggest Month Ever In January 2013

NEW YORK, February 13, 2012 – CookingLight.com had a record-setting month in January, with significant growth in key metrics, including unique visitors, page views, natural search, social media referrals and mobile.

In January, the site grew to a record 2 million unique visitors and 20 million page views, up 47% and 57% year-over-year, respectively. In addition, consumer engagement with the site grew in January, with average page views per unique visitor up 7% year-over-year. (Source: comScore, January 2013) This tremendous growth is a result of increases in natural search, up 34%, and social media referrals, up 114%. Natural search saw gains in health- and nutrition-related terms like “low-calorie recipes,” “quinoa recipes,” and “kale recipes,” as well as traditional favorites like “chicken” and “soups.” On the mobile front, unique visitors to the mobile-optimized version of CookingLight.com were up 62% month-over-month.
