Time Inc.’s People en Español Celebrates the Year’s ‘25 Most Influential Women’ with Star-Studded Awards Luncheon

Miami, FL (September 22, 2015) – People en Español celebrated the year’s “25 Most Influential Women” this past weekend with a star-studded awards luncheon honoring many of the nation’s most accomplished Hispanic women, including Lili Estefan, Maria Elena Salinas, Leslie Grace, Ana Maria Canseco and Mariela Dabbah, among many others. The following day, the brand presented ‘Poderosas Live’, an interactive live-event for successful women to inspire and empower hundreds of young Latinas.

 

“This year’s list of the ‘25 Most Influential’ recognizes leaders in entertainment, business, entrepreneurship and activism, who are helping to shape the future and inspire young women every day,” said People en Español Editor-in-Chief Armando Correa, who was also honored at the event. Miami Mayor Tomás Regalado made a special appearance to present Correa with the Key to the City.

 

People en Español fans were able to tune into a live stream on PeopleEnEspanol.com to experience live action from the ‘25 Most Influential’ red carpet and view Periscope for exclusive behind the scenes content. The conversation on social media @Peopleenespanol garnered over 20 thousand posts generating more than 500 million impressions via the hashtags #25Poderosas and #FearlessLatinas.

 

The ‘Poderosas Live’ panels and workshops focused on career advancement, entrepreneurship, professional development, as well as beauty and style tips for success. The event was hosted by Alejandra Espinoza and featured presentations by Maria Marin, Adamari Lopez, Pamela Silva Conde and many more. Attendees were invited to share custom affirmations of women’s empowerment through Dubsmash about being #FearlessLatinas. The ‘25 Most Influential’ Awards Luncheon and ‘Poderosas Live’ event were sponsored by Ford.
