New York, NY (September 21, 2015) – First Lady Michelle Obama will deliver remarks to the 450 women leaders in business, politics, media, education and philanthropy at Fortune’s annual Most Powerful Women Summit, a Time Inc. event, on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the Robert and Arlene Kogod Courtyard at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC.

 

In her remarks, Mrs. Obama will speak about the Let Girls Learn initiative, which seeks to help the more than 62 million girls around the world who are not in school—half of whom are of adolescent age—go to school and stay in school, as well as about how organizations can support this important issue. Her remarks at the Kogod Courtyard will begin at 7:15 p.m. ET and will be live streamed on Fortune.com. Press registration is required.

 

The Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit features interviews, panel discussions, breakout sessions and high-level networking among the attendees.
