Time Inc.’s Festival PEOPLE en Español Announces Programming Schedule for Two-Day Event in New York City on October 17–18

New York, NY (October 6, 2015) – Time Inc.’s (NYSE:TIME) PEOPLE en Español today revealed its most robust event schedule to date with exciting programming for its 4th annual festival on October 17-18 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. The two-day Hispanic heritage event has become one of the most highly anticipated celebrations of Hispanic culture in the country.

 

This year’s program will feature interviews, performances and autograph signings with today’s top Hispanic celebrities, as well as expert panel discussions and family-friendly activities—all free and open to the public. The star-studded lineup will include appearances by music powerhouses Emilio and Gloria Estefan, singer-songwriter Pitbull, the legendary Rita Moreno, actresses Angélica Vale, Maite Perroni, Adamari López and Gaby Espino, “Orange Is the New Black” actress Dascha Polanco and many other notable personalities and musical guests. Actress Angélica María will receive the Ícono de PEOPLE en Español Award.

 

“The programming of this year’s Festival PEOPLE en Español presented by Verizon is designed to bring to life our new ‘50 Most Influential Hispanics’ franchise from the November issue—celebrating Latino leaders,” said Monique Manso, PEOPLE en Español Publisher. “Many of the top influencers from our community—from music icons Pitbull to Gloria Estefan to legends like Rita Moreno—will join the festival to share their stories and engage and inspire our audience.”

 

Festival PEOPLE en Español is presented by Verizon, creating hope sponsor Libre by Nexus, major sponsor Coca-Cola, official sponsors Diageo and Jet Blue and partners AARP and HBO Latino, Nielsen and Harper Collins Español, as well as the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment. The event will feature free interactive celebrity panel discussions, the hottest musical performances by artists and DJs, intimate meet-and-greets with featured talent and more. Programs will be presented in Spanish unless otherwise noted.

 

PEOPLE en Español is collaborating with the City of New York to mount Festival PEOPLE en Español as the largest celebration in the tri-state area during Hispanic Heritage Month, inviting tens of thousands of consumers to nearly two dozen events and activities over two days. This year’s theme—“Your Voice, Your Power, Your Festival”—invites families to come together for a one-of-a-kind celebration that will entertain, inspire and unite.
