Los Angeles, CA (July 15, 2015) – Producing on behalf of Time Inc., Rampante, a next-generation strategic advisory, production and distribution company, brings together Academy Award-winning Killer Films (Still Alice, Boys Don’t Cry)) and Field Office Films, a newly formed New Orleans-based company (from the producers of Beasts of the Southern Wild) for the production of New Orleans, Here & Now . The new docu-series, which features real stories from real people living in post-Katrina New Orleans, is directed by award-winning filmmakers connected to the city. Emmy Award-winning actress and New Orleans-born actress Patricia Clarkson (Pieces of April, Six Feet Under) and Golden Globe Award winner Scott Bakula (NCIS: New Orleans) are onboard as executive producers. New Orleans, Here & Now , the first release by Time Inc. stemming from the partnership with Rampante, will be available in August across Time Inc. digital properties. “Rampante’s first series, New Orleans, Here & Now is a reflection of our commitment to collaborating with companies that share our vision for bringing great stories to audiences via multiple platforms. We could not have asked for better partners than Time Inc., Killer Films and Field Office Films for this project,” said Emiliano Calemzuk, founder and CEO of Rampante.

“With our amazingly talented team of independent filmmakers, we were able to unearth unique stories from a beloved city that is rebuilding its identity,” said Christine Vachon, executive producer and founder of Killer Films. “New Orleans, Here & Now is a candid portrayal of life in the city today from several viewpoints.”

New Orleans-born Academy Award-nominated actress and executive producer Patricia Clarkson added, “New Orleans will always have a special place in my heart and I am so proud of the remarkable stories shared in New Orleans, Here & Now . They reveal a very different perspective on a city that people think they know, but really don’t.”
