Time Inc.’s Sports Illustrated and Time Recognized with Three Webby Award Nominations for Internet Excellence

New York, April 8, 2015 – Time Inc. (NYSE: TIME) brands Sports Illustrated and Time were honored with Webby Award nominations presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). The Webby Awards recognize the best of the Internet and are awarded across five media types: Websites, Interactive Advertising & Media, Online Film & Video, Mobile Sites & Apps, and Social.

 

These nominations reinforce Time Inc.’s strong digital presence. Sports Illustrated is recognized with a nomination for “Young, Gifted & Homeless,” a long form video centered on the life of homeless athlete Isiah Lamb, as well as an honorary mention for SI.com. Time garnered a nomination for The Brief, Time’s daily e-newsletter, as well as a nomination in Best Use of Video or Moving Image for The Top of America, Time’s exclusive photography from the top of The World Trade Center. Time’s social media efforts received an honorary mention as well. Time Inc. Studios was recognized with an honorary mention in Online Film & Video: Short Form for “Dewar’s Live True Profiles – Mark Bustos,” a short video interview with hairstylist Mark Bustos, sponsored by Dewar.
