Lisa Arbetter Named Editor of StyleWatch

Mar 3, 2015

NEW YORK, March 3, 2015 – Lisa Arbetter has been named Editor of StyleWatch, it was announced today by Ariel Foxman, Editorial Director of InStyle and StyleWatch. Arbetter assumes her new post immediately and reports to Foxman.

This marks a return to StyleWatch for Arbetter, who played an integral role in its launch while serving as Deputy Editor. She was later promoted to Deputy Editor of InStyle, a role she has held for six years. At InStyle, she managed a large team of creative people, oversaw all content for the magazine, and was instrumental in the development of brand extensions across multiple channels.

“Lisa is a brilliant editor, a business-minded strategist and open-minded collaborator,” said Foxman. “That—coupled with her sophisticated understanding of the needs and wants of the fashion and beauty-obsessed consumer—makes her the perfect partner to lead StyleWatch into its next exciting and innovative phase.”

Founded in 2007, StyleWatch was launched as the ultimate go-to source covering the hottest fashion and beauty products for trend-loving millenials. In 2010, it was named Magazine of the Year by Advertising Age. StyleWatch was first introduced in 2002 as a special newsstand edition of People.

Last month, Foxman was promoted to Editorial Director, InStyle and StyleWatch, a new role at the company. In addition to remaining Editor of the InStyle brand, Foxman now oversees editorial direction and strategy for StyleWatch.
