Travel + Leisure Names Jeffries Blackerby Executive Editor

NEW YORK, October 3, 2014 – Time Inc.’s Travel + Leisure Editor Nathan Lump today appointed Jeffries Blackerby, former Deputy Editor of Condé Nast Traveler, to Executive Editor, effective Monday, October 6.

 

Lump commented: “Jeffries is an editor of uncommon talent with deep knowledge about travel and lifestyle and expertise in the changing needs of modern media brands. His fluency in the diverse range of content we create for our discerning audience across print and digital will be a tremendous asset to T+L. I’m thrilled to welcome him.”

 

Blackerby helped steer Condé Nast Traveler’s redesign as its Deputy Editor. Previously, he was Digital Editor at Vogue and has held several positions at T: The New York Times Style Magazine. Jeffries also worked on Travel + Leisure sister brand DEPARTURES from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, he was Senior Editor at Allure magazine. He began his career at Random House, Inc.

 

Travel + Leisure’s total brand audience is more than 8 million, including a print audience of over 6.6 million.
