Time Inc.’s Real Simple and Coastal Living to Sponsor 2014 Boston Pops on Nantucket

18th Annual Concert Event will Benefit Nantucket Cottage Hospital

NEW YORK, June 13, 2014 – Time Inc.’s Real Simple, the leading brand for enjoying life’s simple pleasures, and Coastal Living, the brand dedicated to life along the coast, are pleased to announce their co-sponsorship of the 18th annual Boston Pops on Nantucket concert event set for August 9, 2014. As the island’s signature event of the summer, the concert series draws thousands of people to Jetties Beach for a night of music, food, drink and special guests.

Boston Pops on Nantucket is the single largest fundraiser for Nantucket Cottage Hospital, the only year-round healthcare facility on Nantucket. All proceeds from the event go towards supporting the hospital’s commitment to the health and well being of the island. This year, the event is co-chaired by Robert and Laurie Monahan, summer residents of Nantucket for the last 28 years. Nantucket Island Resorts/Jill & Stephen Karp are presenting sponsors.

”Boston Pops on Nantucket is an inspiring evening for the entire island to come together and celebrate the summer season while giving back to an important cause,” said Real Simple Publisher Charlie Kammerer. This is the first year of Real Simple’s sponsorship. Coastal Living has supported the event for four years. Additional sponsors include Great British Outfitter, Boden and The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism.

This year’s special guest performer will be ARRIVAL From Sweden, the world’s foremost ABBA tribute band. They will be joined by conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra.
