New York, April 17, 2014 – Time Inc. today named Scott McAllister Senior Vice President, Digital Marketing. McAllister will report to Executive Vice President of Consumer Marketing + Revenue, Lynne Biggar and will be charged with developing new mobile, social and ecommerce consumer revenue strategies as well as launching new business partnerships. McAllister will join the Company on May 12th.

”Scott has a passion for redefining how consumers experience brands through digital channels,” said Biggar. “What is really impressive about him is his ability to lead lean, global ‘start up’ teams that rapidly develop and execute new consumer experience prototypes. It’s exactly where we need to be and we’re excited Scott is joining our team.”

McAllister has 15 years of marketing experience, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Digital Experience for Tourneau, the largest luxury watch retailer in the U.S. Previously, he spent nine years at American Express where he began by running the Merchandise rewards category for the Membership Rewards program, and later became Vice President of Internet Consumer Card Acquisition. He went on to work for American Express Interactive as Vice President of Digital Strategy, Standards & Insights. In that role, McAllister led a global team of 40 to develop and execute mobile and tablet app experiences—building Amex’s first iPad app—and analytics for the digital channel. His final role was Vice President of Social Media Prospect Marketing for the International Consumer & Small Business Services division where he developed a number of social media marketing platforms and media buying strategies. Earlier, he was a Senior Marketing Manager at Dell and began his career in Finance and Six Sigma Operations with General Electric Company.

”I’m thrilled to be joining Time Inc. during such a transformative time period. I can’t think of a more exciting professional opportunity to tackle. The Company has a rich history and amazing brands, and I look forward to being part of the team equipping it to compete throughout the remainder of this century.”
