In a Move to Accelerate Growth and Momentum, Time Inc. Elevates Chris Schraft to President, Foundry Content Sales and Agency Development; Names Chris Mcloughlin, SVP/Head of Sales, The Foundry

Jul 12, 2017

(NEW YORK, NY, JULY 12, 2017)—Time Inc. (NYSE: TIME) today announced that it has elevated Chris Schraft to President, Foundry Content Sales and Agency Development to oversee The Foundry’s Branded/Native Sales Center of Excellence (COE) and named Chris McLoughlin SVP/Head of Sales, The Foundry, effective immediately. Schraft continues to lead Time Inc.’s Agency Development team. Reporting to Chris Schraft, McLoughlin will help lead the COE to continue to accelerate the growth of Time Inc.’s advertising business.

As Time Inc. continues to innovate in the custom content space, Schraft and McLoughlin will lead the Branded/Native Sales COE to create campaigns that resonate with Time Inc.’s partners and consumers. A recent study by Time Inc., which garnered insights from over 17,000 Gen Z, Millennial and Gen X respondents, revealed that two out of three consumers have greater trust in custom content than in traditional advertising. The study also showed that custom content is perceived as thoughtful and provides value to consumers.

“Chris Schraft has been at the forefront of the emerging custom content industry since joining Time Inc. in 2007. He has spent much of the past decade working with clients and agency partners in developing large-scale content platforms and native advertising campaigns, and he was a key member of The Foundry launch team in 2015. This makes Chris the ideal choice to lead our COE,” said Brad Elders, EVP and Chief Revenue Officer of Time Inc. Elders added, “Chris McLoughlin is an experienced sales leader with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and maintaining critical relationships with clients. I’m confident he and Chris Schraft will lead this team to success by bringing the best of The Foundry to market, focusing on building awareness of and preference for The Foundry across our agency partners and on growing our campaign work.”

An experienced leader of media sales across digital, native advertising, integrated and branded content, Chris Schraft has been President, Time Inc. Content Solutions since 2007. He was previously SVP, Sales and Marketing at Time Warner and VP, Corporate Sales and Marketing at Turner Broadcasting. Schraft began his career at Meredith, where he started as Advertising Director and later was Senior Managing Director.

McLoughlin rejoins Time Inc. from LittleThings.com, where he was Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to LittleThings.com, McLoughlin was Vice President of Sales at Undertone, a digital advertising company. He also served as Publisher of Rolling Stone and RollingStone.com. McLoughlin also held various senior leadership roles at Hearst and Condé Nast after beginning his career at Sports Illustrated as New York Advertising Director.
