People And Entertainment Weekly Celebrate The Oscars® With “People & EW Red Carpet Live” Streaming Pre-Show On Sunday, Feb. 28

NEW YORK, NY (February 25, 2016) — Time Inc.’s People and Entertainment Weekly will host a bi-coastal live, red carpet streaming pre-show in celebration of the Oscars® on the film industry’s biggest night, Sunday, February 28 at 5:30pm ET/2:30pm PT from Los Angeles and New York. People Now’s Jeremy Parsons and Andrea Boehlke will host the “People & EW Red Carpet Live” streaming pre-show from their New York studios, while People deputy editor JD Heyman and Associated Press correspondent Alicia Quarles will report live from the Oscars® red carpet in Los Angeles.

The “People & EW Red Carpet Live” pre-show will stream for two and a half hours beginning 5:30pm ET/2:30pm PT on People.com and EW.com. In addition, the pre-show can also be streamed on InStyle.com, Essence.com, Time.com, and PeopleenEspanol.com. The pre-show’s hosts and correspondents will be socialing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat throughout the evening using the hashtag #OscarsLive.

Highlights of the “People & EW Red Carpet Live” streaming pre-show include a sneak peek of Priyanka Chopra, star of ABC’s Quantico, getting ready to appear on stage as one of the Oscars® presenters. People style and beauty editor Andrea Lavinthal will go behind the scenes to discuss the evening’s biggest fashion and beauty trends with InStyle executive style correspondent Dana Avidan Cohn, and MimiChatter.com editorial director Deanne Kaczerski. Entertainment Weekly correspondent Nina Terrero will offer her predictions on who will win and who should win Academy awards in all the major categories, while Essence Live host Dana Blair will discuss the #OscarsSoWhite controversy. Social media influencer Jack Douglass, host of JacksFilms, a live stream video chat channel on the popular live broadcasting platform YouNow, will talk with some of People’s 200 VIP subscribers live from the red carpet bleachers, who were lucky enough to be chosen to participate in People’s fourth annual Oscar® Fan Experience.
