This Old House Partners with Wayfair.com to Introduce First E-Commerce Venture

This Old House Shop at Wayfair.com Offers Shoppers Access to Editor-Curated Design and Home Solutions

Mar 9, 2012

NEW YORK – This Old House, America’s premier home enthusiast brand, and Wayfair.com, the largest online retailer of home furnishings, today unveiled the This Old House Shop on Wayfair.com. This is the first e-commerce venture for This Old House and will allow readers to shop looks and products inspired by the pages of the magazine directly on Wayfair.com.

The This Old House Shop will be filled with home furnishings and décor hand-picked by This Old House editors that reflect the magazine’s stories and cover features. From ideas on new home projects to tips on when to buy rather than build, the This Old House Shop will offer approachable ideas and solutions through a seamless shopping experience.

“This Old House has a rich history of providing inspiration and affordable, actionable ideas for home-owners on everything from repair to décor,” said This Old House Editor Scott Omelianuk. “We are really excited about our first step on what will become a site-wide e-commerce venture. Through this partnership, we are making it much easier for readers to improve their homes, express their own decorating style and begin a new home project.”

“Together with This Old House, we are offering home enthusiasts a new way to engage with ideas and inspiration from one of America’s most loved and trusted brands,” said Niraj Shah, CEO and co-founder of Wayfair.com. “The This Old House Shop offers a unique window into Wayfair.com’s vast selection of home goods – making it easier than ever to find the perfect products to bring a home project or décor idea to life.”

The This Old House Shop will capture the brand’s All-American style in the featured items and will showcase a wide range of home-related products from gardening, home organization, classic styles, tools and more. Upcoming highlights include “A Charming Cottage Kitchen,” “Storage Ottomans,” “Laundry Room Make-over,” “Spring Gardening Must-Haves” and “Woodworking Tools”. The Shop will also feature offerings across a variety of categories including furniture, lighting, faucets, textiles, tools and more.

The This Old House Shop follows the September 2012 launch of the Coastal Living Boutique on Wayfair.com. (Coastal Living is a Time Inc. Lifestyle Group brand and a sister publication to This Old House.)
